David Walliams has denied reports that he sent "flirtatious" messages to former TOWIE star Danielle Armstrong.
On Monday, The Sun claimed that the 46-year-old actor and comedian had sent Armstrong, 29, a private message via Twitter after she "caught his eye".
A source was quoted at the time as saying: "Danielle couldn't believe it when he dropped her a direct message and it was obviously flirtatious.
"Danielle is used to meeting famous people thanks to appearing on TOWIE and thought nothing of it when David added her on Twitter.
"She couldn't help telling her friends about the cheeky notes he'd been sending over. It's not every day a major star tries it on with you."
However, Walliams has now denied the story. A source has told MailOnline: "David has never sent Danielle flirty messages. David followed Danielle on Twitter about three years ago, shortly after she joined TOWIE."
