AboutGary’s ideas began as a simple passion for photography, and developed into a desire to capture special moments for others.
He comes from a very artistic family. His grandfather James McNamara, born 1903, worked as a stained glass painter with Harry Clarke. His sons all inherited the artistic flair; Gary’s father is Kevin McNamara the youngest son who worked for many years as a silk screen printer to support his family of five children, and who also has a great passion for art.
The talent passed down to yet another generation. Gary's brother Kevin McNamara went on to become one of Ireland's finest artists. He worked for Don Bluth and then Walt Disney Florida. He is an artist in his own right. Gary developed an interest in photography and uses his artistic flair to create and capture that special moment. He trained as a Wedding and Portrait Photographer but has developed a fresh creative style of his own, and has also developed a flair for reportage.
Gary understands how important it is to capture not just your wedding photographs but a memory that shows the atmosphere and excitement of your special day. He takes great personal pride in producing photographs that he is proud of, and is sure you are too.
Photography is an art and though you may teach someone to use a camera, the art must already be there. The camera is the tool of your trade, an artistic eye is very individual.
