David Martin Classical Irish Tenor
Lyric Tenor David Martin from Dundalk in County Louth performs with incredible stamina, agility, and flexibility. He is described as posessing "a beautiful Italian Bel Canto quality in his voice, with fantastic vocal range."
David studied with Geraldine McGee in the Dundalk Dramatic Society before being accepted to study with Dr Veronica Dunne in the Leinster College of Music and Drama.
He began his singing career winning The Denis O Sullivan Medal (Sligo) , The Tenor Solo, and the Joseph O’ Mara Memorial Cup for Operatic voice in Dublin. He successfully completed Il Corso Di Canto E Perfezionamento Lirico in Montalto Ligure, Northern Italy.
In his career to date he has gained a wealth of experience in concert and stage performance both nationally and internationally. He has performed the lead tenor roles in the several full stage productions including, "The Lilly of Killarney", "The Gypsy Baron", and "Pink Champagne".
Other performances include tenor roles in excerpts from opera such as La Fille du Regiment, La Boheme, Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci, Lucia Di Lammermoor, La Traviata, The Irish Ring Opera’s, and many more.

He has performed on TV and Radio, and on many occasions in the National Concert Hall, and in many theatrical venues around Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
In 2011 David performed the lead tenor role in a two night performance of "The Irish Ring" (Excerpts from "The Lily of Kilarney", "The Bohemian Girl", and "Maritana") produced by Michael O Donaghue and conducted by Danny Carrol in the Excel Theatre in Tipperary. And most recently on 7th September 2012 in St’s Peter and Paul Church, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
In 2012 David performed with Declan Kelly and Morgan Crowley A.K.A. "The Three Tenors Ireland" at the 50th International Eucharistic Congress at the opening ceremony on 10 June 2012 in the RDS, and at the closing ceremony on 17 June 2012 in Croke Park to an audience of approximately 70.000 people.
