K Club

The Kildare Hotel Spa & Country Club, affectionately known as The K Club is one of the most stunning locations in the country to host a wedding. Located in the pretty village of Straffan, Co. From the moment you drive down the private lane to The K Club you are surrounded by beauty; ancient trees stretch their arms high above you, welcoming you to what truly is a very special place. No two bedrooms are alike and feature original art work, antiques and state of the art Bang & Olufsen entertainment equipment. Many of the rooms enjoy views to the verdant gardens or the river.

The resort can cater for large and lavish weddings or more intimate affairs. The Legacy Suite, The Arnold Palmer Room, The John Jefferson Smurfit Room or The Pantheon Suite all offer various options and can cater from just 14 people in The Pantheon Suite right up to 350 guests in the Legacy Suite . Located in the Arnold Palmer Clubhouse, The Arnold Palmer Room can seat up to 140 guests for dinner and dancing. The room has its own private entrance and bar.



A special feature in this room is the large bay window which provides magnificent views overlooking the 18th green and lake of the stunning Ryder Cup course and direct access to the spacious balcony. The Legacy Suite in the Smurfit Clubhouse has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and now boasts elegant fabric swagging, a black and white tiled dance floor and fibre optic lighting on the staging area.

It too has its own private entrance and bar while double doors from this room lead directly onto a private terrace where guests can enjoy views onto the Smurfit Palmer Course.



It can cater from 16 to 350 guests. The John Jefferson Smurfit Room in the hotel is perfect for an intimate wedding and caters for up to 40 guests. This room is situated in the hotel itself and has several original architectural features including original cornicing, opulent stucco work and stunning art work.

The K Club offers several wedding packages to suits everybody’s needs. The all-inclusive package is very popular and it includes red carpet on arrival, a glass of champagne for the bride and groom, pre-dinner canapés, Prosecco, tea and coffee on arrival, a four course dinner, seasonal flowers on the tables, personalised menus, table plans and place cards and a half bottle of house wine per guest. This package also includes an opulent suite for the bride and groom on their wedding night.
