The legendary singer/songwriter, 69, and American heiress Nancy, 51, (pictured at the Costume Institute Gala in New York City in May) are expected to tie the knot at Macca's farmhouse in Sussex, England.
A source told The Mirror: "They will be marrying imminently.
"They are very excited and almost everything is in place. Friends and family have been put on standby.
"Nancy would have liked to get married in New York, but she knew an English wedding would make Paul happy."
Nancy serves as a member of the board of the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
"In the end they decided to marry in the UK and have a party for all their American friends at their home in the Hamptons later. I don't think I've ever seen a couple so besotted with each other," the newspaper's source added.
Boxes of champagne flutes and stacks of chairs have arrived at the ex-Beatle's 933-acre estate according to the newspaper.
This will be the star performer's third marriage. His first wife Linda died of breast cancer in 1998. They had three children, Mary, Stella and James plus Sir Paul adopted Linda’s daughter Heather. Macca divorced Heather Mills in 2008.
