Samantha Poser from St Austell, Cornwall, walked the elaborate carpet from her parents' home to the church to wed Adam Kerby last weekend.
Her father Phil, who owns a carpet shop, had fooled his beautician daughter into thinking she was going to be making her entrance via an elaborately decorated quad bike, according to The Daily Mail.
Phil told the paper: "Sam's always liked the notion of having a dream wedding.
"So with the help of the lads that work for me I ordered in some extra long lengths of red carpet and decided that Sam could have her very own celebrity walkway from her door to the church.
"To be honest I thought she might have rumbled my decoy but thankfully she didn't. When she saw the carpet she was absolutely gobsmacked and it really made it all worthwhile. She's a lovely girl and I wish her and Adam all the best for the future."
The carpet ran from Phil's house in St Austell, across the main road and through the village to the picture postcard country church in Luxulyan.
The bride's parent's also decorated church archways and their home with flowers.
Mother of the bride Michelle, who works in the family salon, was so busy with decorations she had no time to get herself ready.
"I didn't even have time to get my hair done," Michelle told the MailOnline. "I work in a salon and I didn't even wash my hair."
The newly weds are now honeymooning in Egypt.
