Middleton Named 'Best Dressed'

All eyes have been on Kate Middleton since she married Prince William and became the Duchess of Cambridge and now the newlywed has been given another title- best dressed.

A high-end magazine has this month voted Kate Britain's best-dressed woman, seeing the Duchess beat Kate Moss, Emma Watson and Samantha Cameron to the top spot on Harper's Bazzaar's sartorial it-list.

Middleton has been praised for her ability to wear designer frocks, such as Alexander McQueen, and high street trends with elegance.

It would seem that Kate has made the 'lady-like look' fashionable again and is now having the last laugh after being criticised for her old fashioned and often conservative dress sense.

It is understood that Debenhams have released replica wedding and bridesmaid dresses from the Duchess’ big day while copies of the blue dress she wore when announcing her engagement flew of the shelves.

Bazaar’s Editor, Lucy Yeomans, said of the Duchess’ Alexander McQueen dress worn for her royal wedding: 'She gave us the year’s – if not the century’s – most thrilling fashion moment.'

Harper’s Bazaar’s panel of judges described Catherine’s style as an 'incredible style evolution that has gripped us all'.
