The couple, who live in Hanover Street, Newcastle, chose a zombie horror theme for their special day because of their love of Halloween and turned up to their wedding reception in fancy dress.
The pair had worn more traditional wedding outfits for the actual ceremony at Newcastle Register Office on Saturday afternoon attended by almost a hundred of their family and friends.
But they changed into less conventional attire as the celebrations continued at The Freebird pub, in Liverpool Road, with a wedding cake made up of jelly eyeballs and candy snakes.
Sales assistant Katie, aged 28, said: "We chose the theme because we wanted something a little bit different. We are not religious so didn't want a church wedding and we just wanted a day where everyone could dress up and have a laugh."
