King yesterday married professional photographer Jenny McCarthy and as one of Ireland’s best known TV weather forecasters, Mr King had known what to expect.
"I've been studying the long-range weather forecast for 10 days now, and I couldn't believe our luck when I realised we were going to get a sunny day," he said.
The couple held their wedding ceremony and reception in Killashee House Hotel in Naas, Co Kildare.
The wedding day is supposed to be the happiest day of a woman’s life and it was even more so for Jenny who was struck down with a brain tumor last year and has now been nursed back to health.
King said: "When Jenny became sick I actually thought, 'Will I go ahead with this proposal, or should I put it off?' And then I just thought, 'No, I'm going to do it'. It was a lovely distraction as we nursed Jenny back to health."
Over 100 guests attended the couple's big day, including many of TV3's best-known faces.
