The plastic action figures made to look like Kate and Pippa were produced by US toy manufacturer Hero Builders, a company that claims to specialise in custom made toys.
However on releasing the first images of the toys the dolls have been attacked for their manic smiles, blindingly white teeth, perma-tans, ripped bodies and unladylike proportions- with some saying the dolls look nothing like their human counterparts.
The Kate figurine is draped in a voluminous replica of the Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding dress, complete with a lacework bodice and train and is priced at £120.
Priced at £30 - the Pippa doll - is dressed in a tight-fitting recreation of the £20,000 slinky white cowl-neck Alexander McQueen bridesmaid dress worn by the 28-year-old party planner at the royal wedding this April.
Despite criticisms of the Barbie style dolls the US manufacturer claim that they are already in demand and they look set to cash in on the royal wedding sixth months after the big day.
