Bomb Threat Affected Couple Marry In Coffee Shop

A couple whose wedding plans were interrupted by a bomb threat were married by a judge at a nearby coffee shop, UPI.com reports.

Jeremy and Robin Morey, from Michigan, had a Friday morning appointment to be married at the court offices inside Langsing City Hall, but the threat received by police caused the building to be evacuated before they could tie the knot.

The couple said they decided to stop at Biggby Coffee on Allegan Street, where they discovered Judge Charles Filice and his staff had also gone after the evacuation, UPI reports.

The Judge then offered to help the couple keep their wedding appointment and Jeremy Morey retrieved the marriage license from his truck, according to the website

"It was definitely interesting and it's about both of our speed," he told UPI. "That is just kind of how my life goes. It's fitting that there would be a bomb threat on the day I go to get married."
