The Aberdeen University professor shot staright into the number 1 chart spot this week.
His CD A Tender Light is dedicated to the Royal couple with their blessing. It was released by Decca Records.
The Welsh musician, 35, composed Ubi Caritas for the couple to walk down the aisle to.
Speaking to The Press Association earlier this week he said: "It's been a whirlwind year which started back last November when I was contacted by the palace because they wanted to include one of my pieces in the royal wedding and almost a year later my CD has come out.
"I think the amount that I owe William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess, is huge - it's unbelievable.
"To choose a composer just because they like the music and not one of the big names - not established - is something that has changed by life completely."
