Marilyn Monroe's Wedding Ring For Sale

The platinum eternity band Joe DiMaggio gave to Marilyn Monroe on their wedding day is to be sold at auction.

Set with 35 baguette-cut diamonds the ring, given to the movie star by the New York Yankees player, will go under the hammer on December 15-16.


Also up for auction at Profiles in Historys Icons of Hollywood Auction at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills are a DeLorean from Back to the Future III and The Central Perk couch from Friends and ruby slippers from Wizard of Oz.

DiMaggio bought the sparkler ahead of the couple's big day on 14 January, 1954.

The pair where divorced less than 10 months later.
