Isle Of Man Hotel Granted Wedding License

Claremont Hotel has become the third hotel on the Isle of Man to be granted a wedding licence.

Couples can now marry at the venue which has just undergone a £2million regeneration. The bedrooms, reception and lounge areas have all been upgraded.

Mark Wilson, the managing director of Sleepwell Hotels, told isleofman.com: "Whilst our refurbishment is initially for the purpose of updating our architecture we recognise that times are changing – both in the physical and mental sense.

"We originally planned to redesign our hotel as a way of helping guests feel closer to the technology and facilities they were used to at home but upon hearing the news regarding the reformed civil marriage laws we felt that our venue would provide the perfect setting.

"Naturally we also co-ordinate many wedding receptions and now that we have been granted the authority to host wedding ceremonies we hope couples will look to The Claremont Hotel for all their wedding needs - incorporating the ceremony, reception and of course the luxury bridal suite."
