Budding Romantic Proposes With Red Rose Gown

A Chinese man has made a dress from 9,999 real red roses for his girlfriend before asking for her hand in marriage on Valentine's Day.

Xiao Fan asked Yin Mi to marry him at Chime-Long Paradise amusement park in the southern province of Guangdong.


Yin said yes and happily paraded around the park in the gown topped with an ivory-white fur shrug and clutching a vibrant stem of yellow orchids.

The couple met at the venue three years ago when Yin was crowned Miss Bikini 2009.

Yin, who won a competition for the proposal, said: "I knew we'd entered and a I knew a surprise was coming."

"But I was overwhelmed when I saw the dress. Of course I said yes straight away."

Nine represents 'forever' in Chinese culture.
