Wedding Venue Ceases Trading

A popular wedding venue has closed forcing couples to use alternative venues.

The five-star venue Cromlix House Hotel, near Dunblane, ceased trading from February 16.

A post on the website from the Cromlix Team said: "We regret to inform you that as of February 16 2012, Cromlix House Hotel ceased trading. Additional information will be available here soon.

"We realise guests will be anxious to know more and we ask that you re-visit the website shortly.

We thank all our great guests for their custom over the years – it has been a pleasure looking after you.

"We have been working over recent days with other hotels with a view to them hosting any weddings that Cromlix is now unable to host. We are delighted to say that subject to availability and logistics, these hotels are very keen to hear from any bride and groom to discuss their wedding date/plans.

"The proprietors and senior managers of these hotels have asked that you contact them direct and they will ensure you get their personal attention.

"Cromlix will be contacting all wedding brides and grooms to assist in finding alternative venues."

Wimbledon mixed doubles star Jamie Murray wed Alejandra in the venue in November 2010.
