Even in one of the most romantic cities in the world 72% of those surveyed lost their sexual desire after a long working day.
The study of 1,400 people by France Info radio station and daily newspaper Le Parisien found 61% put work before love, family and culture.
Those employed as managers were greatly affected and 24% of respondents said work tensions had at some stage caused sexual dysfunction.
"People are paying a high price for it: feelings of guilt, divorce, uncontrollable children and chronic fatigue," Jean-Claude Delgenes, the director of Technologia, the institute that conducted the survey, told iol.
To bring the romantic spark back workers were advised to move closer to their place of employment in order to reduce the commute or to find a new job with more freedom allowing couples to spend more time together.
