Dying Dad Raises Funds Over Facebook For Big Day

A terminal cancer patient has raised funds over Facebook to marry the mother of his two kids.

Tom, 25, and Tammy, 23, parents of Tienna, four, and Ziani, 20 months, were able to raise £20,000 for their Big Day through the social network.


Friends, family and local businesses donated the money in four weeks.

Tom's throat cancer saw him give up his maintenance work and Tammy quit her a nail technician job to become a full-time carer meaning they were unable to fund the wedding by themselves.

The couple were given a free wedding venue and reception, plus gifts including limos, suits, a horse and carriage, photography, flowers and a wedding cake.

Tammy said: "It was everything I’d ever dreamed of."
