Captain Mark Philips Leaves Second Wife

Princess Anne's first husband, Captain Mark Phillips, is to divorce for a second time, after setting up home with a woman almost 30 years younger than jim, according to reports.

Captain Philips, 63, has left his wife Sandy, 58, and is said to have plans to set up home for a fellow member of the US Olympic equestrian team.


He released a statement last night through solicitors at the law firm CKFT.

It said: “Captain and Mrs Mark Phillips are separating and divorce proceedings have commenced. The couple have a daughter, aged 14, and the care and support of her is Capt Phillips’s main concern at this sensitive time.

"Capt Phillips therefore requests that all parties respect their privacy in the months ahead."
