"Given that hen and stag dos normally take shape as a weekend getaway, we thought we would highlight the destinations that are ideal for an unforgettable experience while also offering great value for money," said Nadine Hallak, Travel Expert for Cheapflights.co.uk.
The firm's in-house experts put their travel knowledge to work, recommending the top destinations for a stag and hen party.
For the boys
•Belgrade, Serbia: The fact that this city is still one of Eastern Europe’s up and comers means that it’s one of the region’s cheapest destinations. Nonetheless, it’s packed with things to do. For those in search of a typical stag party complete with clubs and good alcohol, this is the place to be. Belgrade is hailed for its nightlife and incredibly low cost. A beer here costs around £1 and hostel prices start from about £12 per night. Summer is the best season for partying and travellers should head to the barges and three story boats that serve as open air clubbing venues on the Danube River.
Flights to Belgrade start from £167 return.
•Valencia, Spain: While it’s partly known for its nightlife and beaches, Valencia has a lot more to offer. This is a great all-round destination for the intrepid Brit who loves adventure and wants a Spanish destination with a difference. There’s a world of activities to choose from including attending a football match to watch some of Europe’s finest players in action, having a game of tank wars in a real tank with laser guns, shooting it out with a day of paintballing, and topping it all off with a pub crawl and traditional Spanish tapas.
Flights to Valencia start from £242.
For the girls
• Prague, Czech Republic: Prague is still one of the best and prettiest destinations for a hen weekend. Pub crawls here are epic and incredibly cheap. Ladies looking for a fun weekend should check out tours which offer organised pub crawls starting in the stunning Old Town and ending in one of Prague’s many clubs. One of the most famous and Europe’s biggest club, is the Karlovy Lazne next to the Charles Bridge which has an amazing five levels.
Flights to Prague start from £150 return.
•Paris, France: Some might consider it cliché, but, let’s face it, there’s no more glamorous or girlie way to send off a bride-to-be than a trip to Paris. Heading there with a specialist hen celebration organiser such as GoHen, means it doesn’t have to be expensive. Bachelorettes can take their pick of ready prepared packages or custom make their own starting from £195 per person, inclusive of food, drink, activity and accommodation. Activity ideas include wining, dining, VIP club entry, shopping ‘til you drop, sightseeing, a typically Parisian show that is both saucy and sassy or a relaxing spa day. Alternatively, go all out and combine all of the above!
Flights to Paris start from £108.
For everyone
• Las Vegas, Nevada: As the saying goes, “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!” So, whether you’re a hen or a stag, this is the place that suits all for letting your hair down and having a great time. Whether you’re after pampering, sitting by the pool, a taste of culture, some gambling, great food, or some of the world’s most famous shows, Vegas has everything and more. This is decadence at its best and a truly unforgettable experience. Just don’t get too drunk and end up in a chapel early.
Flights to Las Vegas start from £418 return.
