Sky Living HD’s newest wedding reality series sees two brides fighting it out to make their fantasy wedding come true. But the twist in this fairy-tale is that they will share their big day and it must be completely identical for each party in every way. With dramas over dresses, palavers over place settings and tears over transport, will there be a happy-ever-after for these brides?
The ‘bridezillas’ featured in each episode have strong, yet opposing visions about their perfect day; and as the girls struggle with the art of compromise, viewers will have a ringside seat to the tiara-topped tantrums that threaten to crush their dream day.
Two distinct themes go head-to-head, with Alice in Wonderland and The Phantom of the Opera doing battle in this premiere episode. Sharing a budget, these very different characters must agree on how the money is spent and try to convince the other to give up aspects of their long-imagined big day. Accompanied by their nearest and dearest, each party is shown how their rival’s theme would manifest itself, but with Cora from Sheffield wanting flamingo croquet and a dress that would upstage.
the Queen of Hearts, and Zoe hoping to arrive in a boat commanded by masked men, the possibility that there might not be a wedding at all continues to threaten.
The intense negotiations, calculated decisions and wonderfully candid opinions in this highly entertaining show see Battle of the Brides redefine what it is to be a bridezilla. With the declaration “let’s show that other bride we mean business” this first clash is fantastically feisty.
Battle of the Brides launches on Thursday 17th May, 9pm, Sky Living HD.
