Richard Nicoll Ties The Knot With Topshop

Richard Nicoll returns to Topshop this summer with his greatly anticipated bridal collection called ‘Tie the knot’, marking this as his 6th collaboration and the first designer wedding range for the brand.

The wedding dress-inspired collection includes four beautiful designs in pure white and pale shell- pink in Nicoll’s signature style of contrasting sheer and matte fabrics with tailored and floaty shapes. Multiple layers of sheer organza sit prettily under delicate geometric lace and lightweight crepe de chine.

A limited edition floor-length wedding dress with a silk bodice, georgette underskirt and peplum is the standout piece and perfect for the modern bride.

"I loved the idea of doing wedding dresses with Topshop because I wanted to offer a younger, cooler alternative to meringue culture, something special, but not precious, like my friends, something they would wear if they were getting married. These pieces are perfect as party dresses too if you're not the marrying kind."

British-born, Australian-raised Nicoll graduated from Central St Martins in 2002, showing his first collection for Spring Summer 2005. He has won the NEWGEN award for four seasons in a row and is currently being stocked in stores worldwide.
