Newlyweds Threatened Over Marriage Stance‎

A recently married couple have become the victims of internet trolls after campaigning against the Government's gay marriage proposals.

According to Coalition for Marriage (C4M) Rhys and Esther Curnow, both 23, have received abuse and death threats over Facebook and Twitter for their opposition to plans for same-sex marriage.

The pair posed outside Downing Street last week in the presentation of the C4M petition to number 10.

Mr and Mrs Curnow, who married in March and live in Newcastle, are against the gay marriage plans backed by former Archbishop of Canterbury Lord Carey.

CAM said the petition has 575,000 signatories.
