The bride-to-be, who will wed JLS star Marvin Humes later this summer, travelled to Africa with Comic Relief to help raise awareness of young girls in forced marriages.
Rochelle, 23, told the Daily Mirror: "It made me feel really guilty. You get so caught up in what you buy, and the flowers and who you're inviting. It's such a different experience.
"You think, 'I'm getting married, it's a laugh'. But when they talk about marriage... you can tell on the girls' faces that they're not happy about it.
"A lot of the girls wouldn't even speak. Not even to each other because they just don't have a voice. A lot of the girls are abused over there and the things that they've been through were kind of unimaginable.
"Many are younger than my sister, they have kids and they look like they're so small and you think, 'How the hell are you coping?' It's surreal."
The pop star singer is now counting down the days until she marries 27-year-old Marvin.
She said: "I was so happy to see Marvin when I landed at Heathrow and I'm counting the days till we get married. I hope that one day soon all girls in Tanzania will be able to enjoy the same feeling."
