Fourth Wedding For John Cleese

John Cleese has married for the fourth time.

The comedy legend's new bride is 31 years younger than him.

Cleese, 72, and Jewellery designer Jennifer Wade, 41, married on Caribbean island Mustique.

He said: “I couldn’t imagine being with anyone but Jenny. And with my record, that’s a remarkable thing to say. I never felt there was anything wrong with the institution of marriage — it was my ability to choose the right person.”


She said: “We’re kindred spirits. When people see us together, they immediately get it.”

Wade from Bath is his first UK bride. His ex-wives, Connie Booth, Barbara Trentham and Alyce Faye Eichelberger, are all American.
