Dog Attacks Newlyweds At Reception

Police in the US are hunting for a wedding guest who is accused of bringing a dog to a wedding reception and ordering it to attack the bride and groom.

Brittany Schult, 22, and Jorge Cortez-Trinidad, who wed held their wedding reception on Sunday Aug. 12, say guest Joel Nevarez, 21, got angry at their reception, left and returned with the dog.

“I tried to talk him down, walk him home. He saw my husband jump the fence. He said, ‘Sick her Skylo. Sick her Skylo," Schult-Cortez told fox4kc.com

The dog then knocked her to the ground and bit her shoulder and back.

"Joel stood there with the leash in his hand, laughing — laughing that the dog was biting me — as he ripped chunks of skin out of my back, ripped chunks out of my arm, hitting me in the face with brass knuckles,” Schult-Cortez added.

Her husband, who ventured outside after hearing screaming and crying outside, told police he witnessed "his wife being drug by her hair by our friend’s pit bull".

The dog, which Denver Police couldn’t confirm as a pit bull, then bit her new husband three times on his thigh.

Nevarez hasn’t been seen since the wedding but has posted a message on Facebook saying the DJ made him mad and that he’s going to Boston to kill himself.

He faces a felony charge of first-degree assault with a deadly weapon, the news channel reports.
