Chad Johnson Admits Marriage Is Over

Former NFL player has finally accepted that his marriage to Evelyn Lozada is over, and filed for divorce nearly a month after she did the same.

The 34-year-old, who had his wife's face tattooed on his leg a week ago, admitted their marriage is "irretrievably broken".


The couple married in July but have been separated since he allegedly headbutted her in August, over a fight centring on a receipt for a box of condoms.

Evelyn got stitches after the incident, and Chad was arrested on battery charges, then fired by his American football team the Miami Dolphins.

Chad has pleaded not guilty and could face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 if he is convicted of the crime.

TMZ.com has reported that Evelyn is "ecstatic" at the chance to move on.
