Stamford Bridge Bride Speaks Out

Viral photos of a bride 'crying' on the tube are not all they seem.

Snaps of the ‘Stamford Bridge Bride’ sitting on the District line in her white dress, head in hands, appearing to cry where viewed all around the world but Hannah Booth has claimed she had a good day.


The bride, 24, and her new husband, Chelsea supporter Christian Booth, 27, had gone to the Chelsea versus Liverpool match straight from her registry office wedding.

Liverpool fan Hannah said: "It was a brilliant day, but unfortunately I’d just had a bit too much champagne.

"Going to Stamford Bridge was perfect.

"We couldn’t afford a honeymoon so this was the next best thing."
