The Strictly Come Dancing Judge recently wed his long-term partner Sue Barrett, 47, during a surprise wedding at a top London restaurant.
They invited guests for a relaxed Sunday lunch and when they arrived the 30 guests discovered a registrar waiting to marry the former champion ballroom dancer.
In his first interview since tying the knot, the 68-year-old told The Mirror: "I haven’t danced since 1973, I’m too old. I go to a wedding and I never dance. I just shuffle along.
"I know people watching think, 'He's not that bloody good'. But if I try and do some moves I know they’ll say, 'Look at him showing off'. So it’s best if I don’t get up.
"If I do dance with Sue, it’s for 10 seconds. But as soon as I sit down somebody comes over and says, 'Len would you make my wife's day and dance with her?'
"I end up dancing with every woman in the place. So I don’t do it anymore."
