It is now thought that the perfect age-gap is four years and four months.
Over 2,000 adults were surveyed by the site and found that the respondents put the ideal age gap at 52 months.
However, just under half of respondents said there was no such thing as the ideal age gap while a further 33% of women said they wouldn't have a problem if their partner was up to seven years older than them.
A similar number of women also said they would be happy to look for a man within the 50-57 age category.
Interestingly, one overwhelming find from the survey revealed that the man had to be the older person in the relationship. Only one in a hundred women said they thought the ideal relationship is with a much younger man.
Despite most women believing that the man had to the older one in the relationship, a significant amount said they also judged other women who dated older men.
Over a third of those surveyed said if a woman is dating a much older man, he must be very rich, while 18% believed the relationship wouldn't last.
Similarly, a quarter of women said if they saw a younger woman with a much older man, they would label them as a gold digger.
Women also admitted they are more financially dependent on men, with 55% saying they couldn't afford to pay rent or a mortgage if they were on their own. This compares to only 24% of men.
Financial stability was one of the biggest reasons that women often went for an older man when choosing a partner.
Other reasons for selecting an older partner included learning a different perspective from your other half, as well as your youth rubbing off on the older partner.
