'Well-behaved kids' topped the list for what mums are the most jealous about, according to website MyVoucherCodes.co.uk who carried out the survey.
This was closely followed by 'figure' and 'family life' in second and third place respectively.
In the poll, 1,428 mums with at least one child aged three or over were asked , 'Have you felt jealous about other mums?' In response, 36% said yes.
Of those who admitted to feeling jealous, most were envious of those mums with well-behaved kids, great figures, intelligent kids and those in a good financial situation.
As part of the survey, respondents who admitted to feeling jealous were then asked if they were friends with some of their children's friends' mums – with a third saying no.
When asked to explain why, a quarter admitted they "didn't like" the other mum's children, with 29% saying they didn't like the parents.
A further 23% admitted they were not friends with other mums because of a difference of opinion when it came to their children's manners, while 16% said they had no particular reason for not being friends.
Discussing the poll results, Mark Pearson, Chairman of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, said: "We might not talk about it openly but there is always kind of a competition between parents who will, intentionally or not, compare their social, family or personal life to each other.
"But I think this is generally something we all do, parent or not. On the other side, parents are always keen to brag about their children’s skills and achievements, which is great. They should be proud. But remember, the grass is always greener on the other side."
The top ten things British mums were most jealous of were:
* Well-behaved kids (71%)
* Better figure (64%)
* Family life (58%)
* Financial situation (50%)
* Kids' intelligence (43%)
* Time-keeping (37%)
* Social life (28%)
* Job (21%)
* Husband (17%)
* Role within the school (14%)
