The BBC has said the couple were 81-year-old Dennis Green and his 80-year-old wife, Doreen.
The couple were described as “treasured and much loved parents, grandparents and great-grandparents”.
Mr and Mrs Green died in a two-vehicle collision on 5 April at Gate Helmsley, York.
The crash happened at about 1.20pm. Mr Green was driving the couples' Citroen Xsara while his wife was a passenger when the vehicle collided with a Land Rover Defender travelling the other way.
In a statement released after the crash, their family said: "We will all miss them more than words can say."
"They had celebrated 60 years of marriage the day before the tragic accident, and a family party had been planned for the weekend.
"Their loss will leave a huge empty space at the head of our close family, but we will draw strength from each other and from the happy memories we all have of them.
"They had a wonderful and happy marriage and we draw some small comfort from the fact that they are still together."
