According to RadarOnline, a source said the singer and television presenter is using the tactic as rumours emerge that she is engaged.
The 28-year-old has been dating chef Matthew Mosshart but speculation is increasing that the couple got engaged at the end of last year.
The source explained: "Kelly’s using a little blackmail to help her father get clean sooner rather than later. She knows he has to want it, but she thinks a little tough-love encouragement can’t hurt.
"Kelly went right for daddy’s heart – she made it clear that she needed him to be present when he walked his little girl down the aisle. Ozzy would never ruin her big day, so he promised Kelly that he would get it together way before her wedding to Matthew."
Last month, the Black Sabbath rocker confirmed he had lapsed and was drinkin and taking drugs once again. The admission on the singer's Facebook page led many to believe it was the reason behind divorce rumours, but he added:
"Just to set the record straight, Sharon and I are not divorcing. I'm just trying to be a better person.
"I would like to apologize to Sharon, my family, my friends and my band mates for my insane behavior during this period.........and my fans."
Ozzy's wife Sharon has apparently moved out of their family home while he gets back on track.
The couple have been married for 31 years.
