According to Digital Spy, the singer made the revelation during an appearance on Access Hollywood Live.
When asked on what was making it unique, the 28-year-old didn't give much away, saying she wanted it be to a "spectacle" for the couple's wedding guests.
She added: "I want to do something special and unique [for our wedding]. I'm planning now."
The singer also revealed how she and fiancé Kroeger fell in love so quickly.
She explained: "We were working together having a good time, bro-ing out, having a good time.
"We started off as friends goofing around and then turned into something else.
"I had said I want to date someone 10 years older than me and he's exactly 10 years older. He's got it together, he's mature, he's done this thing, he's lived life.
"He's been around the world on tour, I've been around the world on tour… We can really relate over a lot of things and we really just bonded over music and songwriting."
Lavigne has previously said her husband-to-be left her to plan most of the wedding because he trusts her to put together their dream ceremony.
Lavigne was married previously to Sum 41 star Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010.
