The survey, which was carried out by CB12, found that more than half of participants worried about bad breath before a date.
It came first in the pre-date worries list for British daters and was followed by choice of outfit, looking fat and body odour.
When it came to looking at the biggest first date turn-offs, three quarters of those polled said they would be put of from dating someone again if they had bad breath.
Body odour topped the list of dating turn-offs with 86%, followed by bad breath (75%), excessive sweating (58%) and bad teeth (58%).
The survey also revealed that bad skin/spots (34%), too much make-up (30%), untidy/ungroomed nails (29%) and too much facial hair (28%) were also massive turn-offs when it came to dating.

"Bad breath is clearly causing a huge amount of angst amongst daters, yet thankfully there are products out there which can help.
