The 31-year-old made the admission in an interview with OK! magazine.
She is currently planning to start acting on stage after a successful run in London's West End when she starred in 'Shrek: The Musical', but said she will give up working entirely when she becomes pregnant.
When asked about wanting to start a family, Walsh said: "Justin's always been quite laid back about it, it's more me really, finding the right time when I feel I want to stop working and give everything to motherhood, instead of trying to have my cake and eat it.
"I am aware that having babies is not something that I can take for granted, and I'm not going to do that. Justin's already got a little girl [Chloe, 13, from a previous relationship] so I know he's going to be an amazing dad, it's not even a question. It will be something to look forward to in the not-too-distant future."
Walsh also touched on the subject of marriage during the interview, adding: "My family background growing up wasn't the easiest, my mum and dad split when I was six, and it was quite hard. It shaped a lot of who I am as a person.
"I'm not religious, so that's not a reason for me to do it now, and it's never been hugely important to me. Justin and I feel married anyhow."
