Former Apprentice Winner Becomes A Father

Former winner of The Apprentice, Tom Pellereau, has become a father for the first time.

The inventor, who won the BBC show's 2011 series, revealed the news on Twitter.

He wrote: "I'm a DAD! Lovely baby boy arrived yesterday morning. Both Mum & baby are well."

Pellereau did not reveal the name of his and wife Sarah's newborn, but did retweet a message from one of his followers who described the news as his "ultimate and best invention".

He later tweeted his thanks for the congratulatory messages, saying: "Thank you for your kind Tweets. #ProudDad."

Lord Sugar also sent a congratulatory tweet to the entrepreneur, who was able to launch his Stylfile nail file range after they became business partners on The Apprentice. Upon Pellereau winning the show, he was awarded a £250k investment from Sugar for his business idea.

It is understood Pellereau and his wife celebrated their first wedding anniversary just nine days before becoming parents.
