Kim Kardashian 'Excited' Following Birth

Kim Kardashian is said to be "feeling really good and excited" following the birth of her baby girl, E! News has said.

The 32-year-old television personality gave birth to her first child on Saturday, five weeks early. It is understood her boyfriend Kanye West was by her side for the delivery and both mother and daughter are doing well.

Speaking to E! News, Kardashian's friend Larsa Pippen said: "She's [Kim] doing really great. She's feeling really good and excited and the baby is so freaking cute. She's so cute.

"I didn't think she would have the baby so soon. I thought I'd enjoy a little bit more with her but we've been hanging out in the hospital, so it's all good."

Ms Pippen added that West - who cancelled his scheduled appearance at a listening party for his new album on Friday night – is already playing the role of the over-protective father.

"Yeah he was there [at the hospital]. He's so cute. He doesn't leave the room. He's, like, in love with the baby. It's so cute," she explained.

Kardashian was taken to hospital at the weekend after she felt "a little off".

While news of the delivery was confirmed by members of the family, further details such as the baby's name, or the time of delivery have not been released.
