A total of 2,407 parents took part in the study by CouponCodes4u which found the former Hannah Montana star top the list. Parents said the reasons for their choice was due to the singer's 'overly sexualised image' and her 'inability to make positive life choices'.
Lindsay Lohan came second in the list following a number of arrests and stints in rehab, while reality television star Kim Kardashian came third.
Former child star Amanda Bynes, who has been in the news recently due to her increasingly bizarre and worrying behaviour, came fourth in the poll while Teen Mom star Farrah Abraham came fifth.
Singers Rihanna and Ke$ha, Kourtney Kardashian, Heidi Montag and Taylor Momsen rounded off the top ten, again with parents saying the main reasons were due to their poor life choices, lack of talent and being overly sexualised.
Their male counterparts were also polled with Chris Brown finishing number one, closely followed by Kanye West and Justin Bieber.
Mark Pearson, Chairman of CouponCodes4u, said: "As a celebrity, it must be difficult for people all over the world to not only know who you are but also watch your every move.
With these survey results, it is pretty obvious that many parents not only do not approve of celebrities of today, but even go as far to discourage their children from liking them!"
