A couple are to celebrate their wedding with Jessie J – after a venue double-booked both parties.
According to The Mirror, bride-to-be Sam Slater and her fiancé Chris Taylor booked their reception for Durham County Cricket Club 18 months ago, but they later discovered singer Jessie J has also been booked for the same time as she headlines a concert at the Chester-le-Street club tomorrow (20 July). Around 15,000 people are expected to be at the venue for tomorrow's concert.
Sam, who is a mum-of-one, said: "Everything was going wrong. My hairdresser broke his back, the church, the car.
"When we heard that it was Jessie J we were ecstatic. We have a balcony so our guests will see the whole concert."
It is understood Jessie J will pay the newlyweds a visit tomorrow and there is speculation that she might even perform one of her songs for the couple's first dance.
She explained: "I can't wait to be part of Sam and Chris's big day. It is going to be special. Bring on the first dance."
