Peter Andre has revealed his excitement as he prepares to become a father for the third time.
Yesterday, (22 July), it was revealed that Andre and his 23-year-old medical student girlfriend, Emily MacDonagh, were expecting their first child together.
The couple have been dating for around a year, but they first met in 2010 after being introduced through MacDonagh's father.
Writing in his New magazine column, the 40-year-old singer has said his partner will make a "brilliant mum" when she gives birth early next year.
He also revealed the couple had planned to keep the news secret for a little longer.
"We were going to keep this to ourselves a little bit longer, but as everyone's been asking, I am very happy to tell you that Emily and I are having a baby, and we are over the moon.
"Emily will make a brilliant mum," he added.
The child is MacDonagh's first and Andre's third, following his son Junior and daughter Princess with ex-wife Katie Price.
Yesterday, Price – who is currently expecting a baby with her husband Kieran Hayler – sent her congratulations to the couple via Twitter, writing: "Genuine congratulations to Pete and Emily and I hope they are very happy – kids excited xxx".
