Lewis Hamilton Dedicates Win To Scherzinger

Lewis Hamilton has dedicated his recent Formula 1 win to his ex-girlfriend, Nicole Scherzinger.

The 28-year-old driver triumphed at the Hungarian Grand Prix yesterday (28 July) and immediately following the victory, he referred to "someone really special".

Speaking to Sky Sports, Hamilton revealed: "I feel like, the thought on my mind through the entire race was of someone really special to me. And I want to dedicate it to her.


"It's been the toughest couple of months in my life... clearly it's not affecting my driving. But it just doesn't feel the same. A couple of years ago we were here together and I won, so I have great memories."

Hamilton and Scherzinger have been dating since 2008, but last month it was reported the couple had decided to go their separate ways due to their busy work schedules.

Last month, Hamilton confirmed they were no longer together when he spoke about "the loss of someone really, really special", while Scherzinger is said to have referred to the split during an X Factor audition, where she is currently a judge.
