The comedian made the comments in an interview with The Mirror.
He was speaking about the recent reports that 53-year-old Simon Cowell is to become a father for the first time.
Cowell is alleged to have fathered a child with US socialite, Lauren Silverman, but the music mogul is yet to to confirm or deny the reports.
Speaking to the paper, Walliams said: "Simon has lots of experience with kids. He spends a lot of time visiting children's hospices. He's great with them and will absolutely love being a dad.
"I'm guessing people don't know much about that. It's not something he does to look good. He wouldn't tell you about it himself."
The 41-year-old also hinted that he knew of his friends' baby news before it hit the headlines.
"I had this incredible information but it was a private thing. I was good at keeping it a secret," he admitted.
Referring to Ms Silverman, who settled her divorce with husband Andrew last week, Walliams said he had met her several times, adding: "She's lovely, I'm thrilled for them both."
The former Little Britain star became a father himself for the first-time in May.
His wife, model Lara Stone, gave birth to a boy named Arthur.
