It has been reported that Tamzin Outhwaite's husband has confessed to cheating on the actress.
The revelation came after the couple agreed to call time on their seven-year marriage, the Daily Mirror has said.
Last week, 42-year-old Outhwaite and her husband Tom Ellis confirmed they were to go their separate ways in a statement. It is understood Ellis, 34, admitted he had been unfaithful as the pair discussed their break-up.
An insider is quoted by the publication as saying: "Tamzin is distraught. She thought Tom was the perfect husband. But after they agreed to separate, they had a long heart-to-heart and he admitted he had been unfaithful during their marriage.
"She's putting on a brave face but inside she feels humiliated and is being supported by a group of girlfriends including her best friend Nicole [Appleton]."
Ms Appleton is currently going through her own marital troubles after it was revealed earlier this year that her husband, former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, allegedly fathered a love child with an American journalist.
The insider added that it was Ellis's decision to end the marriage, saying: "Tom wasn't gloating about the fling. He basically admitted to a one-night stand with another girl. It certainly wasn't a full on affair or anything like that. But it's ever so upsetting for her to learn this now."
The couple first met in 2005 after being introduced by mutual friend James McAvoy. They married the following year and have two children together. Their first daughter, Florence, was born in 2008 and their second daughter, Marnie Mae, was born in 2012.
Outhwaite was also a stepmother to Ellis's daughter Nora from a previous relationship.
