Wright, who formerly starred on The Only Way Is Essex, was previously engaged to his co-star Lauren Goodger. The relationship ended when Goodger was alleged to have cheated on the 26-year-old.
However, he said he now realised that he had never been in love until he met Keegan.
Speaking to Heat magazine, he explained: "I never realised love could actually feel like this. I thought I'd been in love before, but obviously I haven't.
"Every single thing you imagine and you dream about when falling in love with someone I've got now."
Earlier this month, the couple confirmed their engagement.
Taking to Twitter, Keegan, also 26, wrote: "THANKYOU for all the lovely messages, and yes it's true @markwright_ and I are engaged !! We are so SO happy :-) xxx".
Wright proposed to his girlfriend during a romantic holiday in Dubai at the beginning of September.
The pair first started dating in December 2012 after meeting at a New Year's Eve party in Dubai.
