Britons Crave Dating Site Replies

A new study has found that technology is driving Britons to increasingly crave replies and 'likes' on social media sites.

In particular, people are found to crave dating site replies, as well as 'likes' from Facebook and Instagram in less than 60 seconds.

According to the survey, which was carried out by Tesco Mobile, 13.3 million Brits suffer from "60-second social media meltdown", where they become impatient for a reply, acknowledgement or approval on social media websites, far more than compared to their normal daily life.

As a result of the "selfie-important" nation, the increasing trend for 'selfies', holiday photos or even updates from a night out can leave someone feeling annoyed if their friends or followers don't acknowledge the activity on the various networking websites.

Some 43% of Brits were found in the poll to expect a 'like' or reply to a love note on a dating website or app within a minute before they started to lose their cool. This is closely followed by 38% who expect a 'like' or comment on a Facebook status within 60 seconds.

A further 31% of the UK craves acknowledgment of an Instagram post and expects a 'like' on it, or their Facebook, 'selfie' picture within a minute.
