The charity hopes to raise around £10,000 from the sale of the gowns to help treat animals in need.
The PDSA store, which is located in Boscombe, Bournemouth, received boxes of wedding dresses. They include a range of styles including vintage lace and full-skirted princes gowns, to designer gowns such as Augusta Jones, and are on sale in the store from just £150, while bridesmaid dresses are also available from just £50.
Boscombe PDSA Store Manager, Karen Pennington, said: "We were amazed by the size and generosity of this donation. The dresses are absolutely stunning and there is a fabulous range – something for everyone! Word is starting to spread and we've already sold some, with people travelling from far and wide to visit us.
"These dresses will raise vital funds to help our vets and nurses save the lives of more poorly pets. PDSA has been hit really hard by the recession, with more and more pet owners turning to the charity because they are struggling to pay for their animals' vet care. But we don't receive any Government or National Lottery funding so this donation will help give our funds a real boost."
The dresses were donated to the charity by a supporter who wishes to remain anonymous.
"We'd like to say a huge thank you to our anonymous donor, we are immensely grateful for their support which will help make a real difference to the lives of sick and injured pets," Ms Pennington added.
