There had been a number of tabloids reporting that The Saturdays singer had gone into labour after she was spotted entering Chelsea and Westminster Hospital this morning.
The 24-year-old mother-to-be was accompanied by her fiancé Wayne Bridge, but she has since taken to her Twitter account to play down the reports, saying she was only going for a check-up.
She wrote: "My poor friends and family. My phone went into melt down in the space of 5 minutes! Even had @RochelleTheSats on the phone to wayne haha".
Bandmate Rochelle Humes responded to the message, confirming "all is good" with her friend, and jokingly scolded her supporters for causing her to "panic".
Sandford has been on maternity leave from the group since early August, after announcing her pregnancy in May.
The singer will be the third member of The Saturdays to become a mother after Una Healy, who gave birth to daughter Aoife Belle with husband Ben Foden in March 2012, and Rochelle Humes, who welcomed a girl named Alaia-Mai with JLS star Marvin Humes in May.
