Katy Perry Liked Being Married

Katy Perry has told W magazine that while she liked being married, she is happy with how her life is now.

Perry, 28, was married to 38-year-old comedian Russell Brand for 14 months, only for him to end their relationship by sending the signer a text message to say he wanted a divorce.


She said: "I really loved it. It was a new, fun, exciting journey. But I like how I am now and I think all things happen for a reason."

Perry is now dating singer John Mayer, 36, and admitted she had a crush on him for years before they got together.

When questioned about who she had a crush on, she revealed: "I actually am dating my crush. I had a crush on him for a long time, and it just so happens we fit together great."

The couple first started dating in August 2012. They briefly split before reconciling earlier this year.
