Lott, 22, has been in a relationship with male model Oliver Cheshire for three years.
However, when she was asked by the Metro why she is not ready to marry, she admitted: "I still think we're really young.
"We've been together three years now. He's my first true love, he's my first serious boyfriend, but I'm only 22 so I do still think that's too young."
The singer added that while she has been busy in both the UK and America while working on her new album, the pair have been able to keep their relationship going.
"I've been in London, New York and Miami but I've been in London a lot so I've been at home every night so I've got to see him loads," she explained.
"When you start the promo stuff, when you're doing different things you know, you have different wake-up times you're in different countries, that's when it's harder but there's always Skype.
"Whenever I was away for a long time, like I was in New York for a couple of months making the album, we would Skype all the time and when I went to Miami he came out with me."
She added: "You make it work and I always think if you like someone you make the time."
